About Us
WICA, a professional organisation for chefs was founded in Mumbai in the year 2002. Since its inception, WICA has enjoyed a deep and long-standing tradition as western India's true representation of the professional chefs and cooks.
WICA is committed to promoting culinary excellence and fostering collaboration within the food industry. Chef’s Connect aligns with this mission and promises to be an enriching experience for anyone passionate about food and culinary arts.
What We Offer
Memberships
The past 21 years WICA, has established itself as the home for practicing Culinarians throughout the western region and it is growing rapidly. Joining is just the beginning. Currently WICA has over 650 members.
Membership with WICA is available to any and all persons who actively seek and involve their career paths as professional chefs/ cooks or culinary professionals.
Professional Culinarian
A Culinarian with a minimum of two years full-time employment in the culinary profession, including those who are in catering business, working in standalone restaurant or an industrial canteen

Student Culinarian
A Student Culinarian is a student or apprentice studying at a hotel management / catering institute
A onetime membership fee will be charged till they have completed their education program. (Valid for a period of 1 years).

Associate
An Associate Member is a representative of a group, company or corporation providing products or services to the culinary profession.
(The membership is available to 2 representatives of the company).

Western India Culinary Association (WICA) is committed to developing the culinary profession. This led to the founding of the "WICA" in 2002 as a forum for chefs to express themselves in a non-work setting and communicate with one another.
As the President of this esteemed association, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead and serve such a talented and diverse group of individuals.
Our mission at WICA is elevate culinary excellence, foster knowledge sharing, and create a supportive community that encourages growth and innovation. Through our collective expertise, dedication, and creativity, we aim to push the boundaries of culinary arts and create unforgettable experiences for both ourselves and those who serve.
