Mission Statement:
With a mission to promote cuisines and offer professional educational opportunities for its member chefs, The Western India Culinary Association (WICA) was founded in 2003. WICA aims to foster educational programs, with lectures and demonstrations by culinarians and catering experts, thus keeping abreast of any new developments in food and service

About WICA
The Western India Culinary Association (WICA) was launched by late Ms Thangam Phillip (founder principal of IHM Mumbai) in Mumbai. Around 100 chefs from industry attended the function. Today it has more than 300 registered members. WICA is encouraging catering college students to become its members and has also initiated yWICA- a platform for budding chefs.

WICA is the third such regional culinary association formed in India after the Indian Culinary Forum, Delhi (ICF) and South India Culinary Association (SICA). The core idea behind WICA is to set and maintain the highest level of culinary excellence, food standards and professionalism throughout the kitchens and to accomplish these goals through the transfer of skills.
